Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) says, in a press conference on embryonic stem cell research, that medical advancements will lower health care costs.

Hatch says that stem cell research "holds the greatest promise for health care advancement in the history of the world". He also says that Medicare and Medicaid are taking about 70 percent out of the federal government, and finding new cures and treatments will help lower those costs. (:40)
