Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) says, in a Senate Manufacturing Caucus regarding the state of the defense industry, that defense spending needs to be worked into the government’s budget.

Responding to a comment by Dr. Loren Thompson, COO of Lexington Institute, about the cyclical nature of the defense industry, Clinton says that defense spending should become part of the government’s budget, so that a backlash doesn’t occur when they attempt to make the budget more sustainable.
