Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) says, in a press conference on embryonic stem cell research, that public opinion proves Congress should vote on an enhanced stem cell bill.
Feinstein notes the new Coalition for the Advancement of Medical Research poll that found 70 percent of Americans surveyed believe that Senate should vote on the H.R. 810 "Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act". She says that everyone knows someone that could potentially be helped by new, and stem cells are waiting to be thrown away (:33).
