At a Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation hearing, Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) says that the Federal Trade Commission report is on the oil companies’ side.
Boxer says that the FTC needs a "reality check" and that Chairman Deborah Majoras is on the oil companies’ side. She also says that Congress is not going after the independent gas station, but instead the large oil companies. She gives a specific example of Shell closing a refinery in California (:47).
