Speaking at a Senate Judiciary Committee meeting on "Immigration Economic Impacts", Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ) says that the reality of unemployment is harsher than it looks on paper.

Kyl says that unemployment may seem to balance itself out in economic theory, but he has had to "stand in town hall meetings with 300 to 400 people without jobs". He says that these people are being underbid by immigrants and the government should control their entry (:28).
