Ranking Member of the House Intelligence Committee, Jane Harman (D-CA), in anticipation of President Bush’s fourth speech on his policies in Iraq states the Administration must make clear its intentions in Iraq.
Harman states that the Administration must state clearly that the U.S. will not have a permanent military presence in Iraq, nor will it have designs on Iraqi oil. Iraqis must be financially solvent enough to pay for its own reconstruction. (0:52)
