Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff says at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement press conference that gang organizations threaten homeland security and their members compromise our borders.

Chertoff explains that many gang members come to the United States
illegally and therefore are subject to prosecution under immigration laws. After serving sentences for domestic crimes, these criminals are
deported. This has resulted in hundreds of arrests in the last two weeks alone. (:44)
