Robert Edgar, general secretary of the National Council of the Churches, says that Family Research Council is falsely alleging that Senate Democrats are trying to cleanse government of religious individuals on a conference call concerning the message of the Family Research Council’s "Justice Sunday II: God Save the U.S. and this Honorable Court."

Edgar says that faith is non-partisan and that anyone can be religious, regardless of political party affiliations, and denies the implication that Democrats are against religious people in government. (1:48)
