Rick Doblin of the Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) argues that medicinal marijuana should be treated just like any other medicine

Doblin speaks of other potential uses for marijuana and that there is an on-going debate about legalizing the drug. He adds that several government agencies such as the DEA and NIDA are preventing medicinal marijuana research even though researchers would be complicit with the rigorous standards of the FDA.
