Phillip D. Murphy, senior director of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., offers more recommendations for improving public education.

Murphy suggests the teaching profession can be revamped by getting quality teachers in schools. He argues that public schools need to develop better teaching and principal preparation and training programs, restructure compensation and hold all school leaders and teachers accountable for their students’ education.
