Evon Peter, member of the Gwich’in Nation, comments on the diverse wildlife that exists within the Arctic Refuge and its essential role in the survival of the Gwich’in people.

Peter and other members of the Gwich’in community will be holding a six-week vigil in front of the National Museum of the American Indian called "Drum! Sing! Dance! Protect the Arctic Refuge!" He describes the Arctic region and its vital role in the preservation of the Gwich’in people. (1:27)
