Clinton faults the Bush Administration for assaulting the scientific field, citing the removal of scientific information from government Web sites and the denial of evidence of the danger of mercury by government officials as evidence. Clinton likens the denial of mercury’s danger to saying ketchup is a vegetable. Also, Clinton says, scientists speaking out about climate change are being intimidated by members of the House.
