Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff says "American people have begun to live under an umbrella of greater security".

Chertoff declares his admiration for the employees of Department of Homeland Security for their "efforts in improving the safety and security of our nation." The tragic event that occurred in London last week is a reminder of the threats Americans face each day, however. He also says that since 9-11, the security has significantly strengthened. (1:04)
