Representative Rush Holt (D-NJ) asserts the need for sunset provisions to be added to the US Patriot Act at the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence press conference.

Rep. Holt refers to the Patriot Act as "strong medicine" necessary to combat terrorism against the United States. He states a patient would not be able to take "strong medicine" without reference from a doctor and uses this analogy to call for sunset provisions in the act, comparing the two situations. (:29)
