Iraqi bombings are largely not the doing of foreign insurgents, says Anthony Cordesman at a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing.

Cordesman, of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, testified that there is no basis in the intelligence reports that foreign insurgents are responsible for recent bombings in Iraq. Cordesman blames generalizations made about the insurgency that, he says, are similar to the types of mistakes made in Vietnam, Somalia, and Lebanon. (1:07)
