During the Base Realignment and Closure Commission hearing, General William Nyland, assistant commandant of the Marine Corps., explains why the Marines need two training facilities when most other branches of the military only have one.

Nyland argues the Marines should keep two training depots open during a time when military bases across the country are being considered for closure or realignment. Nyland uses "if it’s not broke, don’t fix it" logic, citing that the Marines are currently about 300 recruits ahead of schedule. (:53)
