Victoria Jones asks White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan to comment on Senator John McCain’s (R-AZ) request for precise information about the percentage of Iraqi troops which are classified as ready for combat.

McClellan responds by referring Jones to the commanders of the armed forces. He reminds Jones that the training of Iraqi security forces is a key part of the United States’ strategy for success. He then elaborates on the need for Iraqi forces to protect their own country, but refuses to give specific numbers of troops which meet the different levels of readiness. (2:41)
