Victoria Jones asks White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan if the White House needs to look at how it is communicating in the face of the growing number of contradictory assessments about Iraq coming from prominent Republicans and Democrats. Jones goes on to ask how the insurgency can be simultaneously be in its "last throes" and "determined."

McClellan responds by disagreeing with Jones’ analysis before saying that Iraq is now universally regarded as a central front on the war on terror. He then says that the resolve of the American people will not be shaken and that we as Americans must support the Iraqi people who are determined to fight for their freedom. (3:15)
