President Bush speaks at the Annual Energy Efficiency Forum in Washington, D.C., saying the pending energy bill should encourage the use of ethanol and other bio-diesel fuels.

The President says promoting renewable fuels, like ethanol, is a way to ease the United States’ dependence on foreign sources of oil. He advocates a provision in the energy bill currently before Congress to include money for research into technologies that can more efficiently produce ethanol and require producers to include percentages of ethanol and bio-diesels in their fuel.
