She continues by asking how the Democratic Party should use language to appeal to average people. She asks how he is going to give smaller Democrats confidence in their convictions. She finishes by asking him how he would heal the divide currently found in American politics.

Governor Howard Dean responds by stating that the Democratic Party is putting infrastructure in every state. He says that the party has no illusions of suddenly winning the 2008 presidential election in Kansas and Mississippi but knows the Democrats can win states like Kansas and Mississippi by 2020 if they start now. He then states that by reminding voters that Republicans were involved in corruption scandals in Congress and by emphasizing healthcare issues and improving the pension system, Democrats can bring back clean government and win elections. Dean finishes by saying that the President treats people who disagree with him with contempt. He says the President does not stress the value of truth and respect for the opposition in running the government. (4:08)
