President Bush says stem-cell research is an issue of federal funding.

Taxpayer money should not be used to destroy life in order to find cures for diseases, President Bush says. Pre-existing stem cells can be used for research, but federal money will not be used to destroy human life – a position Bush says he "stands strong" on. Bush reiterated that he would veto the bill as passed by the House last week. Bush says society must balance ethics with science. (1:25)
