Michael Cromartie, Commissioner of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom, states that human rights of any kind in North Korea are non-existent.

Cromartie says that the North Korean Government controls all facets of politics and society. In addition, he says that the government represses public and private religious activities and even has a policy of actively discriminating against relogious believers.(:52)
