Lewis says that the law enforcement only becomes involved when volatile talk turns into criminal activity. He also says that animal and environmental rights extremists have claimed credit for more than 1,200 criminal incidents, which have resulted in millions of dollars in damage and monetary loss between January 1990 and June 2004.
