White House Press Secretary, Scott McClellan says the President will by talking about his remarks on the tax initiatives bill and the tax initiatives they support.

Scott McClellan says the White House believes the priority of the tax initiatives should be focused on renewable energy and alternative source of energy efficiency. He says they outlined a proposal that fits within the budget and this will keep the nation on track to reduce the deficit by 2009. Furthermore, McClellan says the President does not think that all gas companies need tax initiatives when the price of oil is as high as 50 dollars a barrel.
