White House Press Secretary, Scott McClellan responds to questions concerning the relation between the White House’s soft dollar policy and the high price of oil.

Scott McClellan states increasing oil prices is a reoccurring event and the main reason is due to the dependence on foreign sources of energy. Increasing demands of oil throughout the world tightens supplies, pushing prices up. The solution is to improve energy efficiency and explore more environmentally responsible opportunities.
