Alex Knott, Political Editor at the Center for Public Integrity, discusses four points of what they have discovered.
Knott speaking at the National Press Club lays out four points about lobbyist and lobby groups. The first is that they have found 2200 people that worked for the federal government and now are exploiting their old position, second half a billion dollars from state and local taxes are going to lobby the federal government, third half a billion dollars is being spent by people in other countries to lobby are government, and forth is that this is a massive effort and is surpassing the amount of money going into campaign finance.
