Senator Lott (R-MS) on 527 Reform Act

Large amounts of undeclared money have shown up by the so called ‘527
groups
who have an increasing influence on elections. These groups provided both
major parties with soft money for ads attacking and promoting federal
candidates. Lott expressed his concern with what this undeclared money in
financing can do to politics in America. This can no longer be tolerated,
Lott says, and refers to the Reform Act which he believes will pass soon. (1:21)
