Senator George Allen (R-VA) gives three main points for apology in failing to enact anti-lynching laws, express deepest sympathies to those whose ancestors were deprived of human dignity that other US citizens were given, and to remember the history of lynching as to ensure that these tragedies will not be forgotten or repeated.
