Secretary of Health and Human Services, Michael O. Leavitt, discusses the 2006 fiscal year budget.
Secretary Leavitt announces the main event for HHS will be the implementation of the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit. He says that Medicare will cost $394 billion in benefits to assist 43 million Americans. The funding will help implement the new Voluntary Drug Benefit program, and will also enhance available health plan choices. (1:10)
