First Lady Laura Bush at the Community College National Legislative Summit talks about how boys are the main students in research based curriculum that help get students up to grade level in reading, and then mentions many statistics on the situation.
Laura Bush talks about how boys fall behind girls in elementary school and 70% of students in special education classes are boys. She goes on to say that more girls go on to college then boys and that 57% of the people obtaining Bachelor’ssdegrees are girls. Finally, by the age of 18 boys are 17 times more likely to be in jail than girls. (:55)
