Dr. Julie Gerberding, Director of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention clarifies the issue of the Avian flu.
Dr. Gerberding, Director of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that we are not imminently on the brink of an Avian pandemic. The CDC is aware that the disease can infect people and they are concerned about the flu in Asia. But she also says that the CDC already knows how these viruses evolve and the organization is taking many steps to prevent the transmission of a new virus strain in the global arena. (:59)
