Ambassador John Negroponte accepts President Bush’s nomination as Director of National Intelligence
In his acceptance speech, Ambassador Negroponte points out that providing timely and objective intelligence is a critical national task, critical to U.S. international posture, to the prevention of international terrorism, and to homeland security. He states that it is also equally important to reform the intelligence community to meet the intelligence needs of the 21st century. (:49)
