Robert Pozen responds to accusations from Peter Orszag that his plan to decrease the Social Security deficit does not get the job done. Pozen maintains the proposal of Peter Orszag and Peter Diamond is an unrealistic goal because no politician is willing to support the amount of benefit cuts and tax hikes necessary to reduce the deficit to zero and that cutting the deficit in half is enough of a challenge already.
