The President had is usual briefings this morning. He will be meeting with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands at 9:30 in the Oval Office. At 10:30 he will participate in a discussion about health access at the U.S Chamber of Commerce where he will talk about rising health care costs, health savings accounts and his proposal for associated health plans. This afternoon the President will participate in a photo opportunity with 102 recipients of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics.

IRAQ:
The President is interested in working with the United Nations to stabilize Iraq and prepare the country for a transfer of power on July 1. Press Secretary Scott Mclellan said that "we want the UN to play a vital role in the future of the Iraqi people." He also mentioned updating UN resolutions before the transfer.

HAITI:
The focus of the administration is working with international partners and the people of Haiti to promote democracy and move the country forward. The administration feels it would be detrimental to Haiti if Aristide returned.

SYRIA:
The administration is moving forward with the Syrian Accountability Act. There is nothing new to announce at this point.

SENATOR KERRY:
The Administration thinks that Kerry’s remarks that foreign leaders privately support him over President Bush were unfounded. Mclellan said that Kerry "ought to back it up for the American people." Mclellan also said that this was not the first time Kerry has made comments and refused to back them up.

CAMPAIGN:
Bush will hold a campaign rally on Saturday, March 20. Details have not been disclosed.
