A case presented before the Supreme Court Tuesday examines whether the deliberate withholding of Miranda rights before questioning prevents later admissions after the suspect has been read their rights. Assistant Public Defender, Amy Bartholow, says that if the court were to rule against her client it would allow officers to deliberately violate a set of rights that were designed to protect citizens.
